Nathan Ricketts was the missing piece in one of Central Michigan’s best recruiting classes in team history. The defense was missing that line backer to take over the leadership role that Nick Bellore and Matt Berning left a season ago—Ricketts will fill the void and just might be the prize of 2012.

Any reason why he did not sign on Feb. 1? Was he being recruited by other schools? He does look good. We have a strong tradition of producing some good linebackers and he just carry on that tradition.

I think he had a really difficult decision on whether to play for MSU as a preferred walk on or take the full ride to CMU. He made the right choice!
