By TheChipReport.com

MOUNT PLEASANT — One of the most highly anticipated Central Michigan football seasons in recent memory is about to begin, as student-athletes reported for training camp Thursday.

Student-athletes moved into the residence hall and were fitted for equipment throughout the day, then attended afternoon and evening meetings in preparation for the first official practice of the season Friday.

CMUChippewas.com will provide frequent coverage of the 23-practice training camp, which begins Friday and runs through Friday, Aug. 24. The first two-a-day will be held Wednesday, Aug. 8, and scrimmages are scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 11, and Saturday, Aug. 18.

Look for full coverage from CMUChippewas.com, including a recap, photos and video, throughout the duration of camp, beginning with Friday’s opening-day practice. Weekly recaps, coverage of the two scrimmages, and a camp wrap-up will follow.

Additional unique coverage will also take place on the Chippewas’ three social media outlets. Visit the links above to follow the behind-the-scenes action.

The Chippewas open the season at Kelly/Shorts Stadium on Thursday, Aug. 30, at 7 p.m. against Southeast Missouri State.
