With the 2012 CMU football opener looming, questions remain about starting quarterback, Ryan Radcliff’s consistency. At his best, he looks to be a strong and accurate arm against weak MAC secondaries. At his worst he looks like a kid whose head is spinning under Head Coach, Dan Enos’ complicated offense.

In 2011, Radcliff exploded against NIU for 387 yards, 4 TDs and no interceptions. In a winnable game against Kentucky, Radcliff played great in the first half but folded in the second half throwing 2 crucial interceptions to gift wrap the win for the SEC foe.

In Ryan Radcliff losses, he has thrown 1.7 INTs per game. But in wins, he has thrown just 3 INTs in total at about a .3 per game clip. The hot and cold quarterback play can be frustrating to say the least and if the Chippewas want to get back to bowl elegibilty, they’ll need much more “Good Ryan”.
