Attendance record expected to be set at Kelly/Shorts Stadium

By Andrew

Kelly/Shorts press box in 1972

This is an excerpt from CMUChippewas.com and has a title that surprises exactly nobody reading this post.  Still, there are a few interesting numbers here, including a list of the top ten Kelly/Shorts stadium crowds.  I was at #1. 30,302 Oct. 18, 2008 CMU 38, WMU 28, and I can tell you that it was awesome.

However unlikely, I’m hopeful that the new #1 most highly attended game will be just as good.  The crowd should be wearing primarily Maroon and Gold, despite the twenty-four point Vegas line.  Let’s show enthusiasm and class as fans, and try to enjoy the game, even if it doesn’t play out as we’d like it to.  And it probably won’t.
