Deon Butler moves to TE
In a surprising Spring ball move, Deon Butler has been moved from wide receiver to tight end. This is good news for a couple reasons.
Butler was unable to see much action at WR because of a deep, talented group but many still believed he needed to be on the field more—this should accomplish that. In addition, having Butler on the field with a more traditional TE opposite him and 4 wideouts will create some matchup issues for the defense.
It’s still unclear what, if any, immediate impact this will have on the 2013 Chippewa team but it will be an interesting story to keep an eye on leading up to the Spring Game.
